Whilst I acknowledge that it takes a lot of hard work and time to develop Extensions, I have to admit that I am very disappointed in this particular one. The front page of your website states:

Our goal is to make all extensions as userfriendly as possible. not only fo the visitors but also for the site administrator!

Yet this particular Extension is not User Friendly at all! If I had known that I would have to enter all of the information for the Tables (300 rows or more!) using HTML, I doubt that I would have paid for it.

That being said, I would like to ask if you have any plans to make it more user friendly, maybe by using some kind of Forms to enter the Data for each Row, Column, etc?

Or maybe you can guide me through being able to use Sortable Tables by inserting a normal table in the Editor, and then editing the ID's etc. required?

Regards

Hi Tikva!
I´m sorry to hear that you are dissappointed with the plugin.

I would recommend you to use JCE (www.joomlacontenteditor.com) for an easy way to create html tables, and then give the table an ID (done in the editor).

Then use the plugin as discribed.

However there are no plans of making an admin interface to create tables. This mainly beacuse the easy way tables are created in JCE or other wysiwyg editors, but also because we have not heard of any wishes for such a interface.

Perhaps you can persuade me in making such a interface?

Thank you for your prompt reply. I already use the JCE Editor, and have tried to use it to create the Table, give it an ID, etc., but still feel that this is rather time consuming when you have rather large tables.

Maybe a way of importing .csv files (or similar) which are automatically created as Tables, rather than an Admin interface, might be a more feasible idea?

And what would it take to persuade you??

So you export your data from a software to a csv file?

How would you like the admin to work? Should you be able to create header titles? Could you send me an example file?

At the moment, I am using Excel to create the Data, which provides me with a number of file types to export to. I attempted to send you a sample file via the PM system, but kept getting an error message, so am hoping I can attach it to this Post.

Not sure about your other questions, but as you will see by the file I have attached, it would be quite an arduous task to use Sortable Tables, even with JCE.
