Hey I paid the subscription then downloaded JR Jcron. I am suspecting it to be the same as JCron Scheduler which is not what I expected to download.

After testing it out, the feature set seems to be that of JCron Scheduler as well because I have to load up Joomla home page before the cron jobs would start.

I'm hoping there's an explanation for this as I would not have paid the subscription to download what is actually a free non-commercial component.

As it is currently designed, the cronjob is launched at the preset time only if your site gets visits in place. This means that unless it is frequently visited, the scheduling options are a moot point, as cron jobs are essentially run on demand, rather than by schedule.

The application definitely has its uses, and I am happy with the ease of configuration, but it is no substitute for time-sensitive jobs. Nevertheless, it is a keeper, and I am definitely looking forward to future implementations!

This is the issue we have adressed.. with our version you will not need visitor.. it will behave like a cron job should!

What about when the server is reset. Is it able to resume the cron job automatically once it restarts? I'm concerned this may happen during, for instance, maintenance and other reasons.

I have tried it on Xampp - JR JCron doesn't seem to resume. Furthermore, it seems unable to resume cron job even when I delete and create the same cron job again. The only way to fix it is to re-install JR JCron

Thanks for your help!
